Desi Slava - The talented can not be envious
- You have new songs, new video and most importantly new photo-session,
in which your look is striking. Where did you make those photos?
- The photo session took place in Turkey, in Bodrum. It was very exciting, although I was ill most of the days. But I tried to be heroic and I think this indisposition will not show on the photos.
- I'd never suspect it. On the countrarary, looking at your picture in full hegiht, I was thinking that only a ballet-dancer can handle her body that well.
- Exactlt at this place, where this photo is taken, at the wall it was
indeed suffering, the sun was very string and I aht to keep my eyes half closed, and I was makgin very strange grimaces.
- On other pictures you are without make-up and you look so young, like a child.
- In fact make-up makes us all look older. Everyone from the team was trying to convince me that I look betterh without make-up so I decieded to experiment. I'm glad it turn oud good.
- I'm interested, for which song is wall this?
- It's for my newest single, "You ain't next to me". It's a bit different from my other songs, but nothing unusual, I'm trying to mix pop music with moments of ethno.
- It's a pity that the media in Bulgaria do not appreciate you, for example the chart "Bulgarian top 100".
- Well, I didn't know such a chart existed, I'm learning this from you. Is it prestigious?
- Looking at the name "Bulgarian Top 100".
- I think, if this chart wants to be representative for Bulgaria, it has to include all kinds of music styles.
- But indeed you sing pop music!.
- Well, the media doesn't think so. For me most important are the fans. The fans, the sells of my albums, my concerts, this is much more important than being in a chart.
- What is the nature of a talented person?
- I don't know, it depends on the person. But I know for sure that the talented can not be envious and malicious.
- We all know, that you are talented, that you've been blessed, but you, did you realize it and managed to feel happy cause of this?
- Certainly, I realize that God has hgiven me talent and I often thank him for that. God can be very generous, but in one moment to take it all, that is why I thank him often.
- You're still seem like a very earthly person, You haven't thought the world is in your feet?
- In my opinion, this is called self-oblivion, I can't act like that. I'm aware of my talent, but I like to leave the people to value what I do. Maybe only when I'm very excited I say something good about a song of mine, but it happens rarely. I'm very supersticious and I don't like to brag. The pleasure comes when I see that I've been appreciated.
- When was last that you have been feeling happy?
- I can remember the last that I was angry. Life is very tense and when you work with many people it's normal to get nervous sometimes. But of course, I've had happy moments. But in fact they are always related to my son. I see him rarely, the time when we are together is never enough. I'm thinking of taking measure in order to have more time with him, but still I haven't figured out how. That last nice moment was at his birthday, the 21st of July, when he was blowing the candles and everyone was applauding him. He felt special and wanted more and more. And when he was given the microphone, Mikey started singing. These were very beautiful moments, I almost melted.
- Do you keep in touch with his father?
- Yes, certainly, on the phone. He calls often and Mikey talks with him.
- Your intonation instantly changed!
- Well, I feel sad about certain things, I never wanted to happen that way... I am a child of divorced parents and I know what it's like to live with one only parent. Every child needs both his mother and father. At first, certainly the child needs more his mother, but afterwards especially for the boys, it's important to have their father. We are so many women in the house, but Mikey needs his father to grow up as a man.
- Are you considering providing him a father?
- Me and his father, we are separated forever, just as we were thinking we'd be together forever. He is to far away, if he was in Bulgaria, thins would be different.
- Many men have succeeded in being real father, even though not biological?
- Yes, I think about that sometimes, but it's too early for me. I'm not ready for that. For know I'm focusing on my work, to make music, to make people happy at my concerts.
